Whether it’s through participating in our music program, pottery, automotive, or RSC/ISC programs, students are encouraged to develop new skills beyond the traditional curriculum. Music Appreciation Classes

Teacher: Mr Michaelson from Agape Worship Arts School of Music

Agape Worship Arts entry-level program provides students with the beginning building blocks of interactive music learning. Students learn note values with applied rhythm, singing, composition, and worship studies for all grade levels.

Wood Working

This course will increase technological literacy by developing knowledge in woodworking. Students will learn to apply proper procedures and techniques to create and build woodworking projects. This course will teach and reinforce science, history, math, communication, and hands-on skills.

Automotive

Develop safety habits around automobiles and equipment. Learn the operating, construction, and principles behind today's automotive engine. Learn the procedures to disassemble and reassemble an automotive engine and learn overhaul techniques. Develop the use of precision measuring instruments and up-to-date diagnostic equipment. Develop skills in understanding and using diagnostic service and shop manuals, emphasizing problem-solving techniques. This course will teach and reinforce science, history, math, communication, and hands-on skills.

Pottery

This course aims to provide a balanced visual arts program that guides students in achieving the standards in visual arts. In Ceramics, students learn about the historical background, aesthetic traditions, and artistic properties of ceramics through various studio experiences. The student will acquire knowledge of form, volume, and space relationships by constructing hand-built and wheel-thrown clay forms. Experimentation with embellishing a clay surface will extend understanding of line, texture, pattern, theme, and variation. This course will teach and reinforce science, history, math, communication, and hands-on skills.

Plant Science
"GreenHouse Sustainability"

Our school greenhouse offers our students a wonderful learning laboratory that supports standards-aligned students learning outcomes through hands-on, reflective, and immersive instruction that is the highlight of experiential learning. While teaching greenhouses students are introduced to life science, while setting a stage for learning while interacting with Plant Science knowledge.

What is RSC / ISC?

ISC (International Student Convention), and RSC (Regional Student Convention) is a premier event that is the highlight of the school year for hundreds of schools and homeschools around the world, using the Accelerated Christian Education program.

Students compete in music, oratory, art, athletics, academics, and various aspects of service. With over 140 Christian competitions available for students, there is something to pique the interest of everyone! Participating students will gain invaluable lessons in dedication, patience, striving for excellence, and commitment, while also having the opportunity to compete against peers from around the world.

Requirements for ALL S.A.I.L. students:

Good academic standing (passing ALL classes)
Meeting their academic deadlines for each class by the end of Semester 1.
- Items due for each class are noted on the Student’s Projection Sheet
- Each student has a copy of their Projection

Note to Parents: If your student is at risk of dismissal from the RSC team, you will be notified in advance to address the issue together as a team. Our goal is to ensure that every student who has signed up will have the full RSC/ISC experience and be blessed by it. We sincerely appreciate your parental support. RSC/ISC is not possible without your teamwork.
